HMU Mobile is committed to making our services accessible to everyone, regardless of ability.

WCAG 2.1 AA Conformance Target

We are actively working toward full conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Our team reviews accessibility on an ongoing basis.

Our Commitments

Screen Reader Support

The HMU Mobile app and website are built with VoiceOver and other screen reader compatibility in mind. All interactive elements include descriptive labels and ARIA attributes.

Sufficient Color Contrast

We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for all body text and 3:1 for large text, meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards across our website and app.

Keyboard Navigation

Our website supports full keyboard navigation. All interactive elements are reachable via Tab key, and focus states are clearly visible.

Text Resizing

Our layouts support text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality, both on the website and within the HMU Mobile app.

Reduced Motion

We respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query. Users who have enabled reduced motion in their device settings will experience minimal animation throughout the site and app.

Dynamic Type

The HMU Mobile iPhone app supports Apple's Dynamic Type system, allowing users to set their preferred reading size system-wide.

Known Limitations

Some interactive map features within the app may have limited screen reader support. We are actively working to resolve these issues in an upcoming release.
